When an air conditioning system stops cooling properly or throws an error code, I come out, diagnose the fault, and give you a straight answer on what needs doing. Some faults are cheap fixes like a sensor or a blocked condensate drain, others are bigger jobs like a refrigerant leak or a compressor failure that need weighing against the cost of a new unit.
I will always give you an honest recommendation. If a repair genuinely makes sense, I will do it. If the unit is old and the repair would cost more than a new install, I will tell you that too, so you are not throwing money at something that will fail again shortly after.
Diagnostic visits use the standard call-out rate, £96 including VAT for the first hour on a weekday. Actual repairs, refrigerant work and any parts are quoted after the fault has been diagnosed, and always agreed with you first before I fit them. No hidden fees or surprises.
