Do you offer 24-hour emergency callouts?

Yes. We offer genuine 24/7 emergency callouts across Bridgwater and the surrounding Somerset area. If you have no heating or hot water, call 07494 795906 at any time and we will respond as quickly as we can.

Do you provide free quotes?

Yes. We provide free, no-obligation quotes on boiler installations and most work. Call us or send an enquiry and we will come back to you with a clear, fixed price with no hidden extras.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfer, all major debit and credit cards, and cash. Payment is usually taken on completion of the work, and for larger installation jobs we are happy to discuss the details with you in advance.

Why should I choose FireFlow?

You get a reliable, no-nonsense service from a local engineer who turns up when promised, communicates clearly, and gets the job done properly first time. A lot of our work comes from repeat customers and recommendations, which says everything about the level of service.

How much does a new boiler installation cost?

Boiler installations start from £2,220 including VAT (£1,850 ex VAT), but the final price depends on your property, system type, and how much work is involved. We always carry out a proper assessment and give you a clear, fixed quote before any work begins, with no surprises.

How long does a boiler installation take?

Most standard boiler replacements are completed within one day. More complex jobs, like system conversions or relocating a boiler, can take two to three days. We will let you know exactly what to expect upfront so you are not left without heating longer than necessary.

What happens during a boiler installation?

We handle everything from start to finish: removing your old boiler, installing the new one, upgrading any necessary pipework, and fully testing the system. Once complete, we show you how everything works and make sure your heating is running safely and efficiently.

What warranty do new boilers come with?

Many of the boilers we install come with manufacturer warranties of up to 12 years, depending on the make and model. We will explain the exact warranty terms before you commit so you know precisely what is covered.

Do you remove the old boiler?

Yes. Removing and disposing of your old boiler is included as part of the installation. We disconnect the old unit, take it away, and dispose of it responsibly, so there is nothing for you to arrange separately.

How much does a boiler service cost?

A standard boiler service is £114 including VAT (£95 ex VAT), and a full strip-down service (recommended for older, heavily used, oil, or long-neglected boilers) is £192 including VAT (£160 ex VAT). Any parts needed are charged separately, and you will always be told upfront if anything needs replacing, so there are no hidden costs.

How often should I get my boiler serviced?

You should have your boiler serviced once a year to keep it running safely and efficiently. Annual servicing also helps prevent breakdowns and keeps your manufacturer warranty valid.

What does a boiler service include?

A full boiler service includes checking all key components, cleaning essential parts, testing for safe operation, and making sure everything is running efficiently. It is designed to catch small issues before they turn into expensive repairs.

Will servicing keep my warranty valid?

Yes. Most manufacturers require an annual service to keep the warranty valid. Booking a yearly service with a Gas Safe registered engineer protects that cover and keeps your boiler running at its best.

When is the best time to book a service?

Autumn is a popular time to book, ready for the colder months when your heating works hardest. That said, a service is worthwhile at any time of year to keep your boiler safe and efficient.

How much does a boiler repair cost?

Boiler repairs start with a £90 diagnostic, which includes the first hour. After that, labour is £70 per hour plus any parts required. You will always get a clear explanation and price before any repair goes ahead.

How quickly can you fix my boiler?

We aim to attend as quickly as possible, often the same day or next day, especially for no heating or hot water. Many faults can be fixed on the first visit, depending on the issue and parts availability.

Should I repair or replace my boiler?

It depends on the age, condition, and cost of the repair. If your boiler is older or keeps breaking down, a replacement can often be more cost-effective long term. We will always give honest advice on the best option for you, not just the most expensive one.

Do you offer emergency boiler repairs?

Yes. We offer 24/7 emergency callouts across Bridgwater and the surrounding Somerset area. If you lose heating or hot water, call 07494 795906 at any time and we will get to you as quickly as we can.

Can you repair all boiler brands?

Yes. We have hands-on experience with all the major boiler brands and carry common spare parts to give you the best chance of a first-visit fix. If a manufacturer-specific part is needed, we will source it as quickly as possible.

What air conditioning systems do you install?

We install wall-mounted split systems for homes and small commercial properties, from a single indoor unit through to multi-split setups running several rooms off one outdoor unit. Every install starts with a free site survey so we can recommend the right size and layout for your property.

How long does an air conditioning install take?

Most single-split installs are completed in a day. A multi-split system, or an install with a long or awkward pipe run, may take a day or two longer. We will always tell you exactly what to expect upfront so you can plan around it.

How much does an air conditioning installation cost?

A straightforward domestic single-split installation starts from £1,800, and qualifying domestic installs are currently zero-rated for VAT under the government scheme running through 31 March 2027. Multi-split systems, awkward pipe runs and commercial jobs are quoted individually after a free site survey. Either way, you get a clear fixed price before any work starts, with no hidden extras.

Do I need to service my air conditioning every year?

Yes. A yearly service keeps the system running efficiently, catches small problems early, and keeps your manufacturer warranty valid. It also stops running costs creeping up as filters and coils gather dust. Our annual service is £144 including VAT for the first split, plus £60 for each additional indoor unit serviced on the same visit.

My air conditioning is not cooling properly. Can you repair it?

Yes. We diagnose faults on wall-mounted split systems and give you a straight answer on the fix, whether it is a cheap sensor swap, a refrigerant leak, or something bigger. If a repair does not make sense on an old unit, we will tell you honestly and quote a replacement instead.

Do you offer air conditioning to commercial customers?

Yes, for small commercial properties like offices, salons, gyms and shops. For larger or more complex sites, get in touch and we can talk through what you need.
